The Dirt Dogs watched a ton of stuff this week, with varying degrees of enjoyment. Mad God didn’t go over too well, but, holy shit! Strange Behavior (AKA Dead Kids) is a wild experience and we definitely recommend checking this one out. Memento Mori, (the second film in the Whispering Corridors trilogy), is a great ghost story out of Korea. Piranha rules, but you likely already know this.

We’re also excited to report that we stumbled upon a relatively new hidden gem: The Dead Center. After a suicide victim returns to life and ends up on the emergency psyche floor of a hospital everything quickly goes to shit. What begins as a mysterious supernatural mystery takes a brutal turn in the second half. An oddly perfect companion to Smile, The Dead Center manages to slowly build tension through subtle details, rather than full on jump scares, before going completely off the rails (in a good way). Give it a look if you’re in the mood for something a bit different.

Most importantly though- The Dirt Dogs are hitting the road! We’ll be taking our October festivities to the Long Beach Peninsula, in the great state of Washington, to stay at the historic and haunted Shelburne Hotel. Check our instaplopper, or whatever, as we search for restless spirits in Washington’s “longest continuously operating” hotel.
